Choosing the right photographer for your concert or band/musician portraits is an incredibly important decision. I want to work with those who value the art of photography and mesh well with my style and approach, so it’s important you read this section before anything else.

My concert photography creative style is best described as real moments with an alternative approach and a cinematic presentation.

My approach is to do things a bit differently than most other photographers. When people zig, I like to zag. This is an art, and I want to work with those who respect that it is an art.

I believe in real moments and capturing things as they are instead of how they should be staged is a critical for me. I want the imperfections because they are real.

Every photo you see here is from a REAL concert I’ve photographed. I do not do "staged shoots", and I assure you no A.I. slop will ever be presented here.

The best way I can describe the look of my photos is "cinematic". I have a degree in Critical Film and Television Studies, so this is my way of putting my educational background to work. I love making my photos look like stills from a movie.

Wes Anderson's films are a big source of inspiration. His style is a starting point, and then I go off in my own direction from there. I also have a little David Lynch as John Ford in The Fabelmans on my shoulder to "remind" me the horizon being in the middle of the frame is boring.

Street photography also informs a lot of my visual look and style. That genre is all about the real, and I use what I've learned practicing street photography in my all my photography work.

Most importantly, though, I want the photos I take to stand out and emphasize the setting of the concert instead of simply satisfying a social media "aesthetic" or what you’d see from traditional concert photographers. You'll see lots of variations in colors and tones in my photos because each concert is different.

It is my pleasure to be available for hire to photograph live concert performances + band & musician portraits in Birmingham, Alabama + Atlanta, Georgia + Nashville, Tennessee + the surrounding areas!

Setting up a shoot for yourself or your band would be a great way to boost your EPK, social media, and all other promotional outlets!

These photos will help you grow tremendously as they will grab the attention of your audience and the audience you are trying to build.

I’ve been photographing bands since the late 2000’s, and I love this particular field of photography. I’ve also been a concert photography/entertainment photography contributor for Getty Images since 2013, and my work has appeared in publications all over the world.

All live concert shoots + band & musician portrait sessions are totally customizable! I’ll work with you to identify exactly what you need to help promote your music through great photography!

That could include just a band/musician portrait session, just a live concert performance shoot, both options combined, or something else.
